Abstract Coordination and Adaptation are two key issues when developing complex systems. Coordination focuses on the interaction among computational entities. Adaptation focuses on solving problems due to theinteraction of mismatching entities. This proposal corresponds to the third edition of the WCAT workshop. WCAT’04 was focused on the discussion about what is and what is not adaptation, while WCAT’05 held discussions about the mechanisms to manage adaptation both at design and runtime. In this new edition we would like to pay special attention to case studies and tools to facilitate them. Anyway, the workshop’s topics of interest cover a number of fields where coordination and adaptation have an impact: models, interface specification, extra-functional properties, automatic generation, frameworks, middleware and tools. To
stimulate lively and productive discussions, attendance will be limited
to 20 participants, who are required to submit short position papers,
if possible structured as Problems + Solutions + Open
Issues.
